Mac is having some health issues and he needs our prayers. Melissa has asked that we pray for healing, wisdom for his doctors and comfort for Mac. Here's what Melissa wrote in the 'What's Going On' section in case you want more details:
"Mac had to have surgery to remove a kind of abscess, but because of something it is touching they couldn't do it. He may have to be sent to Germany for the surgery which could potentially have some pretty severe side effects. So please pray for healing, for wisdom for the doctors, and for him being so far from home and going through this all alone. Thanks!"
Almighty God, we know you are in control of all things. We also know that you are the Great Physician able to heal anything. We pray that you would heal Mac. We also pray you would make your presence known to him in tangible ways. Thank you for answering our prayers. Amen.
Also, please pray for Melissa, Tre and Maya. Melissa is getting over the flu and Tre and Maya have both been sick. Maya seems to be feeling better, but Tre is running fever and experiencing some of the same symptoms Melissa had earlier this week.
Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family. Proverbs 18:24, The Message

Prayer Requests
Amanda: Pray for healing, rest and peace of mind.
Nathan and Margaret (Holly's brother and sister-in-law): They are newlyweds and have moved to a new state away from family and friends. Pray their transition would be smooth.
David Wagnon (Holly's dad): Pray he would carefully consider advice from doctors regarding a knee replacement.
Joanne Steelman (Jon's mom): She had a knee replacement on Thursday and is experiencing significant pain and nausea. Pray for the pain and nausea to subside and safety as she is sent home.
Laura: She is on a mission trip in Honduras. Pray for safety and guidance for the team as they minister to the people there.
Joe and Amberley (Katy's brother and sister-in-law): They leave on January 25th to begin training in Richmond, Virginia. They will be there for 3 months before they leave to serve as missionaries for 2 years in Southeast Asia.
PRAISE: Kristin's brother, Scott, and his wife, Alison, have adopted two little girls. To see pictures of Jasi and Sasha, click here. Pray for Scott and Alison as they transition (rather quickly) into parenthood. Pray that the girls will easily adjust to their new home.
Lord, we love and and we thank you that you hear our prayers. God, we give you all the glory for answered prayers and know that you are always in control. We lift these requests to you. We pray you would heal those who are physically hurting, comfort those who are lonely, and guide those who are sharing your good news. Thank you for your faithfulness and your love. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
